Communications

The communications workgroup works to bring awareness and education around adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma-informed practices, and trauma prevention. Current projects include informing the community about local training opportunities, promoting events and programs that foster community connection, and developing materials to inform the community on a variety of topics related to childhood trauma awareness and prevention, and promote healing and resilience for all members of the community.

Policy and systems change

We can’t create sustainable change without influencing the systems in our community and beyond to adopt trauma-informed policies and procedures. This work group aims to help local organizations, businesses, government, and systems of healthcare delivery by providing insight into model policies and assistance for those who want to create more trauma-informed and trauma-responsive spaces for community members to live, work, learn, and play.
